Hi, guys. Welcome back to our channel, I hope you're doing really, really well. If you guys didn't know, I suffer from hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis is basically when you excessively sweat. It sounds gross, but at the end of the day, it is completely normal. And if you do suffer from it as well, you are not the only one, trust me.
And going from my last video, can I just say thank you all for all your comments and sharing your stories. There are many, many people out there that suffer from the same thing as you, so don't feel like “Oh, my god, I'm the only one.” There are so many people out there!
As you can see by the title of the video, a company called Dermadry kindly sent us a product to review. Although it is sponsored, at the end of the day, I will give you my 100% real, honest opinion. Let's unbox this!
Oh, so this is the product in here. So handy. Yes for the packaging! This is the little suitcase that it comes in, it's really handy because, at the end of the day, you can just store it, pack it away, and then use it whenever you basically want to.
They basically just help treat hyperhidrosis for you guys. If you didn't know that or if I didn't mention it already, can I just say that Dermadry does offer different packages. This one I do believe has everything, but they do have ones for hands and feet, so if you guys have hyperhidrosis on your hands and feet, you're covered. But wait for it – they also do one for armpits. So, if you have hyperhidrosis in your armpits, they have you covered.
In the box, you get the main unit, where you basically put all your settings and set how strong a current you want it to be, you get the power cable, you also get all the wires and stuff as well, you get the electrodes and little sleeves for them as well. They send you quite a few. They give you an instruction book as well, which I think is really helpful. You have the metal plates as well.
I'm just going to do a quick treatment on my hands. For your hands, it's a twenty-minute treatment, if you're doing your feet, it's also twenty minutes. If you're doing your armpits, it's a fifteen-minute treatment. And, yeah, all you need is just two glasses or maybe four glasses of tap water, depending on how big your cups are. Don't use anything fancy like bottled water, or anything, it's most effective when you do use tap water, so just stick to the tap water.
Just a few little Dos and Don'ts before we start this. The full list will be on the website link everything down below. If you are pregnant, or if you suffer from seizures or epilepsy, or if you have got any metal implants - do not use this. This product is only suitable for people over the age of thirteen.
In the little suitcase thing that it comes in, just place that down. What you need to do is then get your electrodes and then you basically just pop it in there. And then you plug it into one side and then you plug it into the main unit like so. And then you just get the other wire and do the same on the other side. And then you get your towels and you basically just place it over. And the same on the other side. So, it should look like this. Then you just get your power cable and you plug it into the main unit.
If you press this little button, you can alternate between armpits, your hands, and your feet, and you can just set it up on the device. There's also a setting for the mini amps as well, so you can also increase it or decrease it, depending on how strong you want the current. When you are ready to go, you just press the Start button, and there's a timer on it as well, to start counting down for you, which I think is really handy. So, you're not actually just checking the clock, thinking “how long have I done it for?”.
What you need to do now is fill it up with water. You just need to make sure that basically every area of the part you want to treat is covered. I did already have water in here, I just had to go and get some more because it wasn't enough. I think I'm going to put one more glass in each one.
So, I basically used about four glasses really. I'm going to set it to level four. And, basically, what you need to do is just hold down the power button and then the light will start flashing and it will count down.
Just put your hands slowly in. Obviously, you can adjust it, depending on how strong you want the current, but I'm just going to sit here and wait for this to work. 3-2-1 finished! Cool. So, that was the first try that I did, I'm not going to lie, it was really, really comfortable like all you have to do is watch one of my vlogs or just listen to music, as I did.
All you need to do now is just follow the cleaning process—turn it off obviously, and then just unplug everything. The towels, just hang them out to dry, you probably could use them a couple more times before having to wash them. So, yeah, I'm going to do that now, and then when I come back, I'll do a demonstration of how to use it for the armpits as well, just in case you guys do suffer from that, and I'll give you my final thoughts.
If you are going to do treatment on your armpits, all you need is just two glasses of water. Then what you need to do is just get your little electrodes, you get two in the packet, you basically just have to slot it inside, like so, and then the same on the other one. With the cables that you had before, you just need to plug it in. You'll feel them click in as well. And then, all you need to do is basically dunk it into the water, make sure it's fully soaked, and then you just pop it under your armpits, like so. And then, all you need to do is just set it to armpits, put the level power that you want it on, and then you just hold down the start button. And, once again, it will start counting down.
As I mentioned before, if you are doing the armpits, it will be 15 minutes. And then, the same process as well. Just make sure you dry everything off before packing it away again.
So, that was me testing out Dermadry. Just a little recap: if you're doing treatments for your hands it is 20 minutes, if you're doing treatments for your feet it is 20 minutes as well, and if you're doing treatments for your armpits it's 15 minutes. You don't need to do any counting, it literally does it all for you. You don't need to swap the wires, it will do that for you as well. And, literally, all you need to do, plug it in, fill it with the water, put your hands in, wait, chill, listen to music, watch my videos. And then after that, you just wait for it to dry and then pack it away and then use it again.
As I said, you do need to use it for about two weeks. After the two weeks, you might see a bit of increase of sweating, however, that is 100% normal. And, at the end of the day, I can do it in my house, I don't need to travel anywhere, or do anything somewhere else, book appointments to get treated for it. Literally, I can just do it in my own home whenever I want to do it, and do touch-ups (maintenance) when needed.
What I didn't realize, and what I was just reading through, as I was doing the treatment, the two trays are separate. So, if you want to just leave them literally and do it like that, you can do it like that - whatever feels comfortable for you.
As I mentioned, they do have different packages as well, so if you want one for your hands and feet, they have a package for that. And if you want one just for your armpits, they have one for that. Or, if you want the package that I have, you can have all of them as a whole.
Update: Continued to use it for two weeks and 100% recommend it! As mentioned, I do suffer from Hyperhidrosis on my hands and feet and I have seen a massive improvement after using Dermadry. After the first couple of days, I started to increase the settings as my body could tolerate a bit more.
I did notice a bit of sweating after the first week however, it did go, it's completely normal. It stopped a couple of days after that but as mentioned by week 2 I was completely dry. I'll continue to top up my treatments every few months or so.
